Due to their size, many Great Danes are given up for adoption once
they reached adulthood. Worse yet, others are neglected or cruelly
mistreated. If you have room in your heart and home for a "rescue"
Dane, this page should help you find a rescue organization in your area.

Legitimate Great Dane rescues are dedicated to the placement of
relinquished Great Danes into loving, safe and permanent homes. They
are  Non-profit Groups Dedicated to the Rehoming of Relinquished
Great Danes.

The GDCA has set forth guidelines that individual rescues are to
follow.  Many claim to be Great Dane Rescue but there are only a few
in each state who are recognized and endorsed by the GDCA.  Please
go to GDCA’s  rescue page to find a legitimate rescue in your State....
